Games, Guns, and Goodbyes

Davis had to put together an outdoor/backyard gym for scouts so he thought it would be fun to set it up while we were in Utah and have the cousins participate. Abby walking the balance beam

Foster walking through the course!

Easton was looking forward to this day the entire trip! He was so excited to go and shoot a gun. We were very grateful to Josh and Everett for taking the boys out. The boys getting lessons on shooting the guns from Uncle Josh and Uncle EverettEaston Shooting

Davis

Sam, Davis, Mitchell, Cade, Easton, Clayton, Abby, and Foster. The boys were sad to say goodbye to their cousins. They had a great time as always. Hopefully we can get them together again soon. It is time that some of them come visit Texas though!

Cade giving Mitchell a piggyback ride to his car. I love how much fun these boys have together!

Adventure Time

I was able to visit some of my dear friends while we were in Utah this year. Nate was instrumental in helping me when I first joined the Church. He and his wife Mandy have four beautiful children and we had so much fun visiting and caching up! I wish we could have stayed longer but we had to rush home to celebrate Ellen's birthday.

I love this picture of Cade and Davis in front of the Joseph and Hyrum statues.

Foster in front of the Christus. This was his reaction last year too!

Celebrating Ellen's birthday with everyone.

Jeremy took the older boys hiking one afternoon looking for a cave by his mom's house.

Foster playing at the park when we had the cousin get together.

The cousin get together was fun. We played a major game of kickball and had a good time visiting and catching up with each other.

Napping and Caching

The first day we arrived in Utah the boys just played in Grandma Janet's backyard and anxiously awaited the arrival of all the cousins. I wish I would have had the camera ready when Brian and Mary walked in with their boys. It made the whole drive worth it. Cade has a cousin (Mitchell) who is 2 months younger than he is and they get along so well. When Mitchell walked in and Cade saw him his face lit up and off they ran to the basketball court! Sam (who is 1 yr younger than Davis and 1 yr older than Easton) stood by the stairs waiting for Davis and Easton to look up. When they finally did, they too ran off to join the other boys! Foster had a long trip and then once we got to Grandma's house was not able to take naps so he slept where he could!
The boys went geocaching with Mitchell, Sam, Clayton, and Uncle Brian

Hole in the Rock

Traveling across country with four boys is quite and adventure but we actually enjoy our road trips and the time we spend together. Jeremy always does research and finds interesting places to stop along the way which the boys really enjoy. This place we just saw as we drove into Utah and stopped because it looked interesting.

One of our stops along the way was this interesting place called Hole in the Rock: After hours of being in the car, we finally get a chance to get out and stretch our legs. What is the first thing Easton does? Finds a rock chair and sits!
Then decides to ride the lion?
Cade, well, you know what he is doing!

Four Corners

One of the best part of our road trips are the fun stops we make along the way. This year, we stopped at Four Corners. We were all able to stand in four states at once! This year it was a little more challenging to get a family picture as Foster is now able to run away!! Foster and Jeremy in four states
Cade, Easton, Davis, Mom, and Foster. Each boy in a different state

The boys spreading across the states!

Foster once again trying to run away

We finally got the whole family in a shot!Jeremy enjoys the different scenes we see as we drive through the states. This is called Shiprock and it is a landmark around the Four Corners area.

Davis told me this year that he loves to take car trips because we get to spend so much time together. I have to agree. We really do enjoy the traveling part as much (if not more sometimes) than the actual vacation part.

Cooks and camp

We finally got our Kiss the Cooks pictures hung up and had to post this so Bern and Taylor could see how it turned out since they helped us put it together while they were here.

Cade learning to sew this summer.

The first week of summer always means twilight camp. This was Cade's last year to go. Next year it will be just Davis Eaton and I.
