Costumes

Darth Vader, Dracula, Pumpkin, Waldo, and Bubbafet
After the boys did trunk or treat at the Church they came home and went around the neighborhood. They met up with some friends and ended up going to another neighborhood. Then they went to a candy exchange where everyone switches the candy you don't like for something you do. They came home with bags full of candy. Good thing we go to the dentist in a few weeks. Their teeth will need a good cleaning!

Easton's turkey

In kindergarten, the kids have to do lots of craft projects that take a lot of time. For thanksgiving, they have to decorate a turkey any way they want using any materials. The first time we did this project with Cade, it was fun and we enjoyed it. The fun started wearing off when we did Davis', and for Easton it was more of a chore. At least Easton had a good time working on it, but after doing this turkey three times, we think we might save this one for Foster so we don't have to do it another year!!

Bob

When I was pregnant with Foster it took us a long time to decide on a name for him. We actually came up with his name only two days before he was born, so we always referred to the baby as "BOB". Granny still continues to call him Bob and one day while she was out shopping she found this cute little robe and had Bob put on it!

Double Trouble

On Friday, October 23rd we had a double birthday party for Cade and Easton. Since we usually have three birthday parties in three weeks we thought we would save a little time and get two done at once. We would have combined all three but Davis wanted a swimming party instead of a bowling party so we still have another party to do. I have to say, I don't know if combining the parties made things any easier. Trying to keep up with 20 boys at a bowling alley was more difficult than we first thought! In the end all that matters is that they all had fun and they did. Thanks to Nana and Papa for watching Foster so that I could go and help Jeremy. It was difficult to take pictures of the kids bowling because it was glow in the dark bowling. Easton really wanted a Star Wars cake and Jeremy made his annual cake for Cade. One of the other parents told us how she looks forward to Cade's parties all year to see what kind of cake Jeremy will make. I am happy to say we survived!!
This is the cake Jeremy made for Cade. He used tootsie rolls to make the bowling ball and pins.
Everything has been all about Star Wars for Easton this year!

Happy Birthday Cade

Cade 2 days old

1 year

3 years old

5 years old

8 years old

9 years old

How did it happen? It seems like overnight my baby has grown up. We were so excited to become parents and were blessed with such a wonderful boy to start our family off. Cade was such a happy silly baby and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He has always been an obedient child and whenever people meet him they comment to us how polite he is. Cade has such a strong thirst for knowledge and is always researching some new topic. We are do proud to be the parents of this child. We admire Cade for so many things but one of his greatest attributes is his willingness to try new things even when he is a little scared at first. He is always challenging himself. He is a great leader in our family and we are grateful he came first. He has been such an easy child to raise. We are proud of who he is and look forward to seeing who he will become. Happy Birthday Cade. Slow down and don't grow up too fast!!

Easton's tooth

Easton lost his first tooth on Saturday October 3rd. He was so excited for the tooth fairy to finally come and see him that the next morning he counted his money over and over all day. If you look close at the picture, you will see how red Easton's eyes are. On Friday the 2nd he woke up with a high fever and terrible cough. His eyes looked so red until the fever stopped on Monday night. It was a long four days for him. One of the things that upset him most was having to miss school. This is only because on Fridays they get to bring their work home in their red folders. Easton LOVES to bring his work home and show it to everyone. He keeps it in a pile and will go back and look at it several times. Once Jeremy threw the stack out once we had all seen it and Easton went looking for it several hours later. We are grateful he is liking school so much!
