Last month it seemed like we were doing one project after another, maybe because we were! Here is a sample of a few of them:
Davis' pinewood derby car - he came in second by 1/100
th of a second!
Cad's car - placed fourth overall
This is a Giant Leopard Moth that we watch turn from a caterpillar
Easton decided to do his science project on our new family pet!
Davis did his science project on how a compass works.
Cade thankfully decided not to do a project this year!
Second graders have to do a research project on a polar animal and Davis chose the Puffin. He had to make a
diorama and do a
PowerPoint on the animal. He and Jeremy made this box with modeling clay and
Styrofoam. It turned out great. We were glad however when it was over. We were a little tired of projects by the end of the month.

Jeremy has certainly come a long way in doing Pinewood Derby cars and dioramas. His never looked that good when he was in 2nd and 3rd grade. They look very professional. I'm sure the boys were very proud of what they did.
I LOVE THE CARS!!!!! Davi's is a very good looking one and Cade's is very unique. I have never seen a skateboard one before. Cade, you would love Uncle Arnold's cars. Yours reminds me of some that he makes. He makes some that look like remote controls for TV, one with a hairbrush on it, etc. When you come to see us next time, we will have to have him bring them to our house so you can see them.
